Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders officially took the first step in his coaching career on Sunday as he made his coaching debut in Jackson State's season opener. Sanders had more than a few well-wishers prior to his first game as a head coach, with perhaps none more memorable than that from his former teammate Troy Aikman.

Aikman wished Sanders luck in person, deciding to pay his buddy a visit right before kick-off (h/t Rashad Milligan):

It was a touching moment to see these two all-time greats hugging it out on the football field. It certainly brings back memories of their time together as teammates. Sanders and Aikman played together for a few years with the Dallas Cowboys, which resulted in a Super Bowl trophy in 1995.

It didn't look like the pair shared a couple of shots of tequila, though — something we recently learned happened to be one of Troy Aikman's habits during football broadcasts.

Deion Sanders logged a win in his coaching debut, as he guided Jackson State to an impressive blowout win against Edward Waters. It looks like Prime Time is now on his way to a successful career in the world of coaching. Can we expect to see him calling the shots for an NFL team in the future? That's a distinct possibility.
