Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook did Russell Westbrook things Wednesday night during a 137-123 win over the Memphis Grizzlies at home. Unfortunately, one television broadcaster made a big mistake by uttering a racially insensitive slur on live television.

During the live broadcast on Wednesday, Fox Sports Oklahoma play-by-play man Brian Davis described the reigning NBA MVP as being “out of his cotton-picking mind” right after Thunder shooting guard Terrance Ferguson sank a corner three-pointer off a feed from Russell Westbrook.

According to his profile on NBA.com, Davis is in his eighth season as the “team’s television voice.”

Westbrook put on a show with an astounding stat line of six points, 20 rebounds, and 19 assists in 37 minutes of playing time against the Grizzlies to secure his second-straight season with a triple-double.

Westbrook finishes the 2017-18 season with 25.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 10.3 assists in 80 games played.
