The Philadelphia 76ers sent shockwaves across the league by signing Andre Drummond to a one-year deal, bringing him on board next to Joel Embiid. On paper, this is a dangerous duo, but digging a little deeper, we can see the beef these two have had with each other for years.
Drummond spent the beginning of his NBA career on the Detroit Pistons and he and Embiid had beef with one another, and Embiid's old Tweet resurfaced taking a jab at Drummond.
Well, the world of NBA Twitter reacted to the newest Sixers signing, and some of these are hilarious in every single way.
The Sixers: “We made a move!”
Joel Embiid: “ Ah, you finally traded Ben. Nice!”
The Sixers: “No, we signed Andre Drummond.”

Of course, there was a father-son joke at the expense of the Sixers' new big man pairing, and yes, it involves LeBron James.
Wow. Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond beat LeBron and Bronny to the distinction of being the first father and son to play together. https://t.co/KB1Cit5d5k

That wasn't all for the reactions though, and certainly the Sixers thought about the pre-existing beef between the two before inking Drummond to the deal.

That last one is a big question mark, especially with the Sixers dangling Ben Simmons, albeit in a huge asking price for the talented guard that finished as a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year.
At worst, the Sixers games should be entertaining, and let's wait and see how the duo of Embiid and Drummond get along with each other.
