Maycee Barber is the latest fighter to be added to what is shaping up to be a stacked card in UFC 269. Barber meets Montana De La Rosa in a fun matchup on the December 11 card.

De La Rosa announced the matchup to MMA Junkie on Instagram Live with MMA Fighting confirming the matchup with sources close to the situation. The fight will take place in the Women's Flyweight division.

Baber is coming off of a controversial win over Miranda Maverick back in July with the victory snapping a two-fight losing streak. Before that, she had lost unanimous decisions against Alexa Grasso and Roxanne Modafferi.

Maycee Barber was forced to take time off in 2020 after tearing her ACL against Modafferi, she made her return in February 2021 and has had a string of mixed performances. The knockout artist will be hoping to return to form in December.

De La Rosa is coming off of an impressive performance against Ariane Lipski, defeating the Brazilian-Polish fighter by TKO in the second round, back in June. She'll be competing for the third time this year when she enters the cage at UFC 269.

The matchup is an important one for both women as each we'll be hoping to start a win-streak and get closer to a title shot. The stacked division is currently being ruled by dominant champion Valentina Shevchenko.

UFC 269 currently has Amanda Nunes vs Julianna Pena booked and has Charles Oliveira vs Dustin Poirier in the works. The event takes place on December 11 with a location and venue yet to be announced.
