Floyd Mayweather Jr. is known for his counterpunches. But he's quite adept at being on the offensive too. Especially when it comes to his good ol' rival Conor McGregor.

Mayweather, who's not exactly known for his sympathetic sensibilities, made fun of McGregor after he suffered a nasty ankle injury against Dustin Poirier in UFC 264 last Saturday. Pretty Boy took to Instagram to post an action figure of McGregor with a broken ankle.

It's kind of funny, in a sort of twisted, broken way. Pun intended.

McGregor suffered the sorry ankle injury during the dying seconds of the first round against Poirier. He couldn't even stand up afterward, forcing the referee to call out the match and declare The Diamond the winner.

The schadenfreude, of course, wasn't lost on Mayweather, who immediately grabbed the opportunity to roast McGregor. They have had their share of verbal jabs in the past, culminating in their much-hyped boxing match in August 2017. As expected, it was the undefeated Mayweather who came out on top, winning by TKO in the 10th round.

But even after their fisticuffs, Mayweather and McGregor didn't stop blasting each other. In 2019, The Notorious roasted Mayweather after the latter's promotional boxing match in Japan, which netted him $9 million.

The 44-year-old Floyd Mayweather Jr. and the 33-year-old Conor McGregor are both past their prime, but judging by their continued animosity towards each other, a lot of people would still pay good money to see them trade blows on the ring.
