UFC middleweight Jordan Wright was recently interviewed by MMA Journalist James Lynch for UFC Fight Picks where they discussed upcoming fights. The subject eventually led them to discuss the then-upcoming Nick Diaz vs Robbie Lawler fight.

Jordan Wright started to talk about his pick for the fight, believing Diaz would win the contest. He went on to explain that neither was in their physical prime, that's when the subject changed.

“I kind of talked about it before but there were rumors of Robbie Lawler not passing his drug test against Rory MacDonald in… you know,” Wright told James Lynch. “That was still when USADA was pretty young. I'm not sure how that situation figured itself out because of what happens with the UFC behind the scenes with all of these positive drug tests that they actually keep under wraps. Not a lot of people know ultimately how they figure themselves out.”

Wright then continued to discuss his pick for the fight. He mentions then Robbie Lawler's ‘South Beach diet.'

“If he's not taking the same stuff that he used to that could be a detriment to Lawler as well unless he's on that same ‘South Beach Diet' that all those other guys in Florida are doing right now,” Wright continued. “Where all of a sudden USADA comes in and they look like crap and a year goes by and they look great again. They're on that untraceable crap.”

He finally revealed his official prediction for the fight.

“I'm going to go with Diaz on this one. I think he's the clean fighter and I always go with the clean fighter.”
