Deiveson Figueiredo recently made waves when he threatened to leave the flyweight division if the UFC did not pay him more. Many flyweights have been reacting to the news and Manel Kape is the latest to give his take.
Manel Kape is quickly rising up the flyweight division and is looking like a good contender for the UFC flyweight championship. Deiveson Figueiredo threatening to leave makes things very tricky for him.

UFC gave you everything, and right now, he starts complaining about the UFC make an interim belt – he should just be grateful for the opportunity he has. He was living in a village, living with cows.”
Although the title fight will eventually come, Manel Kape has a fight of his own to prepare for as he faces Rogerio Bontorin at UFC 275. The Portuguese fighter sees it as a good opportunity to climb up the division.
“This is my opportunity because Rogerio, he’s a good opponent,” Kape said. “He fought Kai Kara [France] very well in the first round. Unfortunately, Kai Kara gave him a bad punch [to finish him], but I believe Rogerio is a better fighter than these guys, and I will prove that I’m a better fighter than Rogerio and make this fight easily.”
UFC 275 goes down on Saturday with Manel Kape facing Rogerio Bontorin on the pay-per-view portion of the card. The main card also features two big title fights with Valentina Shevchenko and Glover Teixeira defending their UFC titles.
