Michael Bisping has given his thoughts on who should take on Khamzat Chimaev next. ‘The Count' has looked at a plethora of options for the welterweight star.

The big hype right now is about Khamzat Chimaev potentially taking on Nate Diaz. Dana White has shown interest in the matchup, but that's not the one Michael Bisping is going with.

“Vicente Luque is out there,” Michael Bisping said on his YouTube channel (transcription via Farah Hannoun). “He needs a fight right now. He’s on a terrific streak of his own. Vicente Luque can get the job done everywhere: well-rounded skills, good jiu-jitsu, great striking, as well, and he trains with a bunch of killers down at Sanford MMA with Henri Hooft. So to me, that’s a great, logical matchup. For Vicente Luque, it gives him an opportunity to take out somebody that’s got all the hype, and then that would solidify the title fight for Vicente. And for Khamzat Chimaev, if he gets that done, then he fights for the belt.”

The fight is certainly a fun one as Vicente Luque is known for putting on exciting fights and knocking people out. Khamzat Chimaev would fit in perfectly in terms of matching the exciting style.

The fight has its risks though as Vicente Luque is capable of finishing the fight at any moment. Khamzat Chimaev would benefit from the name value as he is close to a title shot, Michael Bisping's pick is an interesting one.

Michael Bisping is a big believer in Khamzat Chimaev and expects him to get a title shot quickly.
