Sean O'Malley has been talking for a long time about what he'll do once he gets ranked in the UFC. It seemed inevitable that the bantamweight would finally have a number by his name.

Many have been unhappy with his level of competition and wanted the UFC to match him up against tougher fighters. Sean O'Malley had no interest in that until he was ranked and had a bigger contract.

He may not have the contract yet but Dana White has said that he has no choice but to pay him now. Sean O'Malley went on his podcast to explain his plan in the UFC.

“Now, I just want to fucking get healthy and then just get back to training. Because dude, we are going to be fighting the best of the best very soon.” O’Malley said on a recent episode of the Timbo Sugar Show (h/t BJPenn.com). “And it is that once you start fighting the best of the best, you do not go backwards… I have zero craving to go to parties at the moment.”

Sean O'Malley obviously has great belief in his abilities. He thinks he can go toe to toe with a former UFC champion.

“I can compete with Petr. He has more high-level experience with guys – (Jose) Aldo, Cory (Sandhagen), Urijah (Faber). … But I think I’m just a different animal.”

It will be interesting to see what the UFC chooses to do next with ‘Suga.' There are plenty of options and fans hope it will lead to bigger fights.
