As fun as it sounds, Dana White's job as the president of the UFC puts him in quite an awkward position at times. On Thursday, in a press conference for UFC 264, White was at the receiving end of a cheap shot from Conor McGregor.

Two days before the third chapter between McGregor and fellow lightweight Dustin Poirier, the intensity between the rivalry of these two proud fighters continues to heighten. As they were asked to do another face-off ahead of their much-hyped bout on Saturday, the ever-so-feisty McGregor actually tried to kick Poirier. But, with the event staff trying to separate the two, including Dana White, it was White who actually became victim to Conor's deadly left kick.

Tension is definitely building up with just about 48 hours before these two go toe-to-toe in the octagon for the third, to hopefully break the tie. The two first met in 2014 when McGregor knocked out Poirier with a couple of haymakers in the opening round of UCF 178. In January of this year, in UFC 257, Poirier avenged his 2014 loss with an equally impressive second-round TKO.

Now, with their series at 1-1, all eyes are on the third (and possibly final) installment between the McGregor-Poirier rivalry. Rest assured, punches and kicks will be flying in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for the July 10 match. Let's just hope Dana White keeps a safe distance so he doesn't get caught in between the firepower.
