The USC Trojans have had a solid start to the 2023-24 college basketball season. The Trojans are 5-3 and in eighth place in the Pac-12 conference. Furthermore, freshman guard Bronny James has finally been cleared to play after a health scare in the summer of 2023. His beloved father, LeBron James, now celebrates his return after a mixtape of the incoming Trojan surfaces.

LeBron James gets hyped about Bronny James' return to the Trojans

James had quite the reaction to an X post of Bronny James' basketball highlights:

The Lakers superstar is beyond excited for James' comeback.

James was cleared for basketball activities after suffering a cardiac arrest at the USC basketball practice facility in July 2023. When he returns, he will add valuable depth to the Trojans.

The 19-year-old was the 20th overall basketball recruit out of Sierra Canyon High School, per ESPN. He chose to attend USC over schools such as Ohio State and Oregon.

LeBron James is highly invested in his son's endeavors. Moreover, the Lakers star has gone on the record saying he would miss a Lakers game to see James' USC debut. The gesture likely means a lot to Bronny James, who wants to help his team climb the Pac-12 rankings.

USC comes off a tough 89-76 loss to the seventh-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs. However, one of the Trojans' bright spots is senior guard Boogie Ellis. Ellis averages 22.4 points per game, which ranks him seventh in the country.

The Trojans are preparing for a cross-conference matchup against the Long Beach State 49ers on December 10th.
