The UFC Vegas 90 Main Card is live from The Apex in Las Vegas as we're set to bring you another prediction and pick for the next bout taking place in the Heavyweight Division. Valter Walker of Brazil will make his debut against Poland's Lukasz Brzeski as both fighters look for a needed win. Check out our UFC odds series for our Walker-Brzeski prediction and pick.

Valter Walker (11-0) will be making his first walk to the UFC octagon in this fight. Training out of Russia, Walker is perfect throughout his professional career and has been fighting in the MMA Series promotion in Russia. His last four wins have all been by knockout so he's looking to make a big splash in his first fight. Walker stands 6'6″ with an 81-inch reach.

Lukasz Brzeski (8-4-1) is still searching for his first UFC win at 0-3 in the promotion. His Contender Series fight was overturning a ‘No Contest' and he hasn't been able to make good on his opportunity, dropping two decisions and a knockout loss most recently. He'll be looking to get back on track as the betting underdog here. Brzeski stands 6'3″ with a 78-inch reach.

Why Valter Walker Will Win

Of his 11 fights thus far, Walker has been able to finish six by KO/TKO and one by submission. He also has four decision wins on his record, but he hasn't seen the distance in a fight since 2022. While his competition has been nothing comparably to the UFC fighters he'll face, Valter Walker poses a serious issue with his grappling to the rest of the division. He's trains out of Russia and has a typical Dagestani-style of wrestling. He's very quick to shoot for takedowns and immediately works to trap a wrist and keep his opponent down.

We've seen Lukasz Brzeski typically be able to keep fights on the feet, but he may have trouble against an even bigger opponent like Walker. Walker is a physical specimen and while he isn't the most fluid on his feet, he's tremendously athletic when shooting for takedowns and has the strength to take the biggest opponents to the ground. Expect him to shoot very early in this one as he works towards mount and tries to finish this fight with his ground-and-pound.

Why Lukasz Brzeski Will Win

Lukasz Brzeski is still searching for his elusive first-win in the UFC octagon and he's faced tough competition in Martin Buday, Karl Williams, and Waldo Cortes-Acosta. He struggled to stay on his feet against a grappler like Karl Williams and he was finished on the feet against a strong boxer like Cortes-Acosta. Brzeski is a very big body and he throws very hard when countering shots. He prefers an ugly fight and the more he can tie Walker up, the more he'll be able to land damaging shots in the clinch.

Brzeski's takedown defense sits at just 42% ahead of this fight and he'll certainly have to defend the takedowns early and often from Walker. We've seen Brzeski have success in the past against wrestlers while utilizing his low leg kick, so expect him to do the same here as he tries to hinder the mobility of his opponent. If he can put some pressure on his legs, it should discourage Walker a bit from planting his feet and shooting for the takedown.

Final Valter Walker-Lukasz Brzeski Prediction & Pick

This is an interesting fight given Lukasz Brzeski's experience against tough UFC competition. Still, he hasn't found a way to be successful through any of his UFC bouts thus far and his struggles could continue facing a dangerous wrestler like Valter Walker.

We're still unsure how Walker will look against UFC-caliber competition, but his regional tape is enough indication that he'll go in there looking to take this fight to the ground. With the skills he has training in Russia, this will be a huge discrepancy in terms of the grappling abilities.

For our prediction, we're going to roll with Valter Walker to get the win. With his size, I expect the takedown to come soon and rather easily for Walker as he immediately works his ground game. H has tremendous top pressure and I expect him to take mount and finish this fight with his ground-and-pound. Let's ride Valter Walker to get the win.
