Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are not going to let Tom Brady and the New England Patriots pull away. With the Chiefs trailing New England by 10 points to start the fourth quarter of the AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium, Mahomes went on to engineer a nine-play drive that was punctuated by a touchdown strike to running back Damien Willams to cut the Patriots' lead down.

The Chiefs found themselves in a hole early in the game, as New England scored a touchdown in each of the first two quarters to get a 14-0 halftime lead. However, Mahomes and the Chiefs are making ground in the second half, having outscored the Patriots in the third frame, 7-3, and opening the final period with the aforementioned drive that brought Kansas City within a field goal of tying up the score.

Damien Williams has been fantastic for the Chiefs ever since running back Kareem Hunt was released by the team back in November. In fact, the Chiefs were so satisfied with Williams with his performance during the latter weeks of the regular season that they signed him to a two-year deal worth $5.1 million back in December.

In last week's 31-13 home win over the Indianapolis during the AFC Divisional Round, Williams erupted for 129 rushing yards and a touchdown on 25 carries.
