The Toronto Raptors flexed their defensive prowess against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night. Both Collin Sexton and Darius Garland got their efforts rejected at the rim in a pair of impressive defensive sequences by the Raptors.

First off, Chris Boucher erased a Darius Garland layup attempt with an outstanding stretch:

In the fourth quarter of play, Stanley Johnson then came up with a huge chase-down block on Sexton (h/t Raptors on Twitter):

The Cavs put in a tremendous effort to try and get back in this one after a furious first-half performance from the Raptors. Gary Trent Jr. led the charge with 25 first-half points en route to Toronto's record-breaking 87-point half. Cleveland came out with a vengeance in the second half, outscoring their opponents 29-13 in the third period.

As you may have noticed in the clip above, Toronto was up by just 12 points early in the fourth period, and it looked like the Cavs were going to go on another run. Stanley Johnson made sure that did not happen with his momentum-swinging block on what looked like an easy deuce for Sexton.

The Raptors were able to hold on as they emerged with a 135-115 victory over the Cavs after a truly high-octane contest.
