Jabari Parker made his 2017-18 season debut for the Milwaukee Bucks when they hosted the New York Knicks. Parker is coming off a second ACL injury and is re-joining a team that is regarded as one of the top up-and-comers in the NBA.

During warmups, Parker got himself a friendly welcome from Knicks forward Michael Beasley. As the Bucks forward was getting his shots up, Beasley came to him and playfully guarded Parker in the process.

Of course, Beasley isn't known to be a lockdown defender, so he turned his focus instead on greeting his former teammate. That's two former second overall picks — Parker in 2014 and Beasley in 2008.

It should be recalled that Beasley was a member of the Bucks last season, where he played in 56 games and started in six of them. During his lone year in Milwaukee, the veteran journeyman normed 9.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

In his debut, Parker played 14 minutes en route to scoring 12 points on 4-of-7 shots from the field. He won't be expected to log many minutes right off the bat for the Bucks as the team prefers to play it safe with a postseason berth at stake.

However, it shouldn't be long before fans see the old Parker back. With the emergence of Giannis Antetokounmo and the addition of Eric Bledsoe, it will be too much to expect the same numbers from last season out of Parker.

Still, anything close to his career-best marks of 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game from last year should be a welcome boost for Milwaukee.
