Hall of Famer Ray Allen last suited up during the 2013-14 NBA season, but if you think that means the man who was tabbed as Jesus Shuttlesworth can’t get buckets, how sadly mistaken you’d be. Famous Los probably thought he could stop Allen when the former Miami Heat shooting guard tried to attack the basket, but it didn’t end well for the comedian, who has over a million followers on Instagram.

Sure, it’s only the NBA Celebrity Game, but Allen still has his arsenal on display. Vince Carter is currently the league’s oldest player at 42 years old as a member of the Atlanta Hawks and is averaging 15.8 minutes per game, so it’s not outlandish to think that Allen could still find himself a spot on the roster and contribute.

Normally, Allen isn’t known for breaking ankles, but jumping off his own to shoot and find the bottom of the net. Allen played in exactly 1,300 NBA games during his career, shooting exactly 40 percent from three-point range, which has helped position him atop the NBA three-point shooting mountain with 2,973 makes. Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is fast approaching, but for now, Allen’s spot is safe.

The 10-time All-Star was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame back in September, having won two rings during his career in addition to the countless buckets he got. The fact that he now has a Hall of Fame ring likely puts a stop to any talk of a return to the court on a full-time basis, but snapping ankles on national television certainly won’t. For as legendary as Allen was, it’s frightening to consider how lethal he could have been had he played just a few years later and got to shoot from deep in the modern up-tempo NBA game.
