During the latest edition of TNT's “Inside the NBA” on Thursday night, the crew decided to venture into an unrelated basketball segment with Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal taking on the Paqui One Chip Challenge following a $20 bet from fellow Hall of Famer Charles Barkley while not making a face when he ate it.
This task involves eating Paqui's Carolina Reaper chip, which the company has stated is the hottest in the world. With that in mind, Shaq decided to take on the challenge and hilarity ensued.
It took a mere few seconds for the hotness of the chip to kick in that led to O'Neal's eyes watering up and causing him to gargle down a bottle of water. What was also shown later in the show is that he had even gotten up out of his chair and took his blazer off to cool himself down.
This was all eventually cooled down after O'Neal had himself a glass of milk to combat the spiciness of the chip. Following that segment, he challenged Barkley to do the challenge with an offer to donate $50,000 to any of his charities of his choice if he took one bit of the chip to which he turned it down after he saw what O'Neal went through.
Ultimately, this made for great tv and provided another reason as to why Shaq has become a great fit on the Emmy Award-winning show.
