Another day, another impressive underdog victory for Loyola-Chicago after knocking off Kansas State in the Elite Eight. As the Ramblers continue their unlikely journey to the big dance, the legend of Sister Jean continues to grow.

Their recent victory even spurred NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley to ask Sister Jean out on a date. The chaplain agreed albeit with some restrictions, per Bleacher Report

“We’ll have limitations,” she said. “I like him when he talks as a sports announcer very much, but I don’t want to see him on the basketball court.”

While the exchange between these two basketball entities was nothing short of adorable, there was certainly a bit of truth behind Sister Jean's words. As great a player as Barkley was back in his day, he was never the most well-liked person on the court. A lot of that had to do with his tough demeanor and constant badgering of opposing players on the basketball court.  However, that has changed with him now a basketball analyst on TNT.

Loyola-Chicago is the quintessential Cinderella team of this year's March Madness. Sister Jean has been at the forefront of their success ever since they started making their run to the Final Four. The 98-year-old burst onto the scene after leading the team in a prayer before each game. Her star continued to shoot up when it was learned that she did not even have her Ramblers making past the Sweet Sixteen. Needless to say, the team has exceeded all expectations now that they are just a game away from a National Championship appearance.
