Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is a very rich man now. After getting a fully-guaranteed $84 million contract from the Vikings this offseason, Cousins is currently the second-highest paid player in the NFL, although he’ll likely get bumped down a spot once Aaron Rodgers gets his new deal.

But despite all those millions in his bank account, Cousins still isn’t ready to let go of the dented 2000 GMC Savana passenger van that he bought from his grandmother for $5,000 and still drives to this day.

It’s certainly endearing that all that money hasn’t completely changed Cousins (yet). He’s still perfectly fine with rolling around with an almost 20-year-old van even though he can afford virtually any other car in the world.

Cousins’ aversion to buying a new car raises some questions as to exactly what he’s spending his hard-earned money on. From the outside looking in, it sort of defeats the purpose of being a multi-millionaire if he doesn’t use his money on some of the finer things in life.

But then again, maybe he also has a handful of luxury cars already in his garage and is just holding on to his beat-up old van for sentimental reasons. No one knows for sure.

Nonetheless, it likely isn’t too long before his beloved van finally breaks down for good, which will finally force Cousins to get rid of it. Once that happens, he'll get to open up a big old spot in his garage which he can fill up with just about any vehicle he desires.
