You gotta love it when first-round draft busts get cocky. As the Minnesota Vikings prepare for a big divisional matchup against the Detroit Lions in Week 7, former Vikings first-round draft pick Laquon Treadwell decided to add a little fuel to the NFC North rivalry by remarking that it'll be “easy,” after head coach Mike Zimmer warned his team about that game.

This type of brashness isn't abnormal when it comes to the NFL. You often see it from star players, especially in an effort to hype their team for a big matchup against an upcoming opponent.

That is obviously the case for the Vikings as they'll look to hold off the Lions to keep pace in the toughest division in the NFL.

However, to hear such cockiness from a guy who was cut before the season started — only to be re-signed following Week 3 of the NFL season — is hilarious.

Who is to say that Treadwell will even be on the roster by the time the Vikings actually visit the Lions on Sunday?

For those that are wondering the 24-year-old's stats on the season, he has just one reception for 13 yards in three games. The former No. 23 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft has just 57 receptions for 532 yards and a touchdown during his four years in the NFL.

It remains to be seen if the Lions will publicly react to this comment — it was quietly muttered by Treadwell as Zimmer was in the middle of his postgame speech — but Detroit will definitely have this “easy” remark on their minds when they host Minnesota in Week 7.
