As head coach of the defending champion Golden State Warriors, Steve Kerr has a bit more confidence in his team than most other coaches in the league. But he just doesn’t believe in his All-Star quartet of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green.

Kerr told Mark Medina of the Mercury News that he is cool with playing any of his 15 guys on the roster in any situation.

“I’m comfortable with putting any one of the 15 guys on the floor at any time,” Kerr said.

That statement is a likely a bit of an exaggeration from Steve Kerr, who probably won't play someone like second-year center Damian Jones crunch time minutes in a playoff game. But Kerr likely has at least some confidence in all of his players and he's likely attempting to empower them through that quote.

It also speaks to the overall depth and quality of his team as a whole that he’s willing to place as much confidence in his team as he does.

Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, and David West are ever-reliable veterans who rarely need to be told what to do. Patrick McCaw was surprisingly effective as a rookie. Even JaVale McGee had his moments last year. And this year, they added another savvy veteran in Omri Casspi, who could eventually become a regular rotation player.

Kerr has used that impressive depth to make the Warriors such a juggernaut over the last few years, and he'll likely utilize it again for their upcoming championship defense this season.
