With the Golden State Warriors back at home for Game 5 of the NBA Finals, their fans consider this their best chance of wrapping up the series and winning their second championship in three years. Oracle Arena is once again sold out as the Oakland faithful will do their best to rally their team, and hopefully celebrate throughout the night.

One of them even went as far as sending a fax to the Warriors’ digital experience team, with the hopes of it reaching Steve Kerr. It includes the strategy he thinks could be key to making Stephen Curry score more despite the “bullying” defense he’s been receiving from the Cleveland Cavaliers. The fan also compared his proposed ploy to how General Patton utilized a decoy during World War II that fooled Adolf Hitler.

It may not be brought to the Dubs head coach’s attention, but one thing certain is they have their own gameplan on the night as they also want to secure the title and not give the Cavaliers an opportunity to extend the series further. Kerr and company are expected to be well prepared and have done their homework in between games, including watching a lot of film, and mapping out offensive and defensive sets they want their players to run during the match.

The fax may have been surprising and even hilarious for the digital experience team, but it also shows how dedicated the fans are in wanting the Warriors to win. They are also willing to go the extra mile, as they believe it could help them become more successful. Although the strategy is unsolicited, it does make a lot of sense and will not be surprising if it will be ran on some stretches to get the reigning back-to-back MVP some open looks.
