The Golden State Warriors are up 2-0 against the Denver Nuggets in their playoff series, and according to Austin Rivers, that's thanks in large part to Draymond Green.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, the Nuggets guard shared that Green has been a major thorn on their side. Aside from making life hard for Nikola Jokic, the Warriors forward is doing much more for the Dubs.

“Draymond has really been hurting us. People aren't really noticing that. Draymond has really hurt us. He's just controlling tempo, he's getting them all these shots, he's beating up Jok,” Rivers explained, per Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.

Draymond Green might not be putting up big numbers, but what he's doing for the Warriors cannot be measured by stats. Game 2 is a prime example of that, as his defense frustrated Nikola Jokic so much that the Nuggets star eventually exploded at the referee leading to his ejection.

Of course having an elite defender who can also pass has helped open up the floor for the Warriors, which is why the Splash trio of Stephen Curry, Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson has been benefiting a lot.

The problem for Austin Rivers and the Denver Nuggets is the Warriors have too much talent all around. While they can try to figure out a way to take out Green from the equation, the Dubs have a plethora of players who can make an impact like Andrew Wiggins, Andre Iguodala, Nemanja Bjelica and Gary Payton II.

Sure enough, if the Nuggets want any chance of winning a game against the Warriors, Rivers and the rest of the Nuggets need to step up and help Jokic.
