SAN FRANCISCO — Tuesday night, the Golden State Warriors will host their second home game with Klay Thompson in the lineup. Since his return, the Warriors have won just one out of four games he has appeared in this season. After shootaround Tuesday, Andrew Wiggins talked about the team's chemistry since Thompson's return.

“It's been going well. Chemistry is building. Every game we're getting better. … Klay is a hell of a player, great player. He's one of the best shooters of all time. Soon as he's on the court, he's going to make the team better. That's what he does,” Wiggins told ClutchPoints.

The record with Thompson back doesn't support the idea that he makes the team better. That's because there's more to the story besides him being healthy and playing. In the game Thompson returned, the Warriors played without Draymond Green due to an injury.

Green hasn't played a full minute with Thompson this season, and Curry missed a game since he returned as well. These are two huge factors that play into the 1-3 record with Thompson in the starting lineup. The Warriors gained one important piece the same day they lost one.

If the Warriors were at full strength, you might understand Wiggins' comments more. But it's still going to be a while before fans witness that because of Green's nagging injury, so it's impossible to say they've gotten better at this point.

But when you look at Thompson and think about the team being at full strength, you can't help but imagine how good they will be. That's probably the perspective Wiggins is looking at things from.
