Former Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Tom Thibodeau has been with the Golden State Warriors for the past few days just hanging out, allowing him to reunite with small forward Andrew Wiggins.

Thibodeau coached Wiggins on the Timberwolves, who fired the former Coach of the Year last season in January. Wiggins, though, still has a good relationship with Thibs and has even enjoyed catching up with him.

The Warriors are 0-2 since acquiring Wiggins, but the former No. 1 overall pick has played well. He is averaging 21.0 points while shooting 53.8 percent from the field, 45.5 percent from beyond the arc and 60.0 percent from the free-throw line in two games with the Dubs.

After going to the NBA Finals five straight seasons, the Warriors will miss the playoffs this campaign for the first time in the Steve Kerr era. Kerr and his staff are going to use the rest of the season to see how they can bring out the best in Wiggins and get him ready to play with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

The former Rookie of the Year has career averages of 19.7 points. No one has ever doubted his scoring ability, but his defense is another matter. Wiggins looks disengaged on offense and defense sometimes and settles for long jump shots instead of using his athleticism to get to the rim.

The Dubs are hoping Wiggins will be a future All-Star with them.
