Andrew Wiggins made headlines on Monday night after he led the Golden State Warriors to a 104-94 win over the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. The Dubs were on the brink of a monumental collapse after the Celtics mounted a huge comeback in the third quarter. For his part, however, Wiggins made sure that the Warriors wouldn't lose Game 5 in their own home floor.
After his 26-point, 13-rebound performance, Wiggins talked about the Warriors' culture and how they have put him in a position to be the best player he can be:
“It's a winning culture,” Wiggins said of the Warriors, via NBA on Twitter. “They've won before. They've dominated the NBA. When I got here they put you in a position to succeed. They always bring out the best in you. They want the best for you. Supportive. It's been good.”
You also can't forget that Wiggins was named an All-Star for the first time in his career this season — as a starter, no less. Right now, he's proven to be a key piece for a star-studded Warriors side as they look to claim their fourth championship in the past eight years.
