Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said center DeMarcus Cousins is rehabbing his left quad injury with the team.

However, Kerr made it clear Cousins is unlikely to return for the Warriors' postseason run:

Cousins suffered a torn left quad in Game 2 against the Los Angeles Clippers. It was a sad sight to see given what Cousins has been through in the past year. The All-Star big man tore his Achilles last season with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Cousins becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. He signed a one-year, $5.3 million deal with the Warriors in the offseason of 2018 after not receiving interest from other teams. Boogie appeared in 30 games during the regular season. He averaged 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game while shooting 48.0 percent from the floor, 27.4 percent from beyond the arc and 73.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Could Cousins sign another discount deal with the Warriors this summer? It's possible. The four-time All-Star will probably not have a lucrative free-agent market since he's coming off another serious injury. The plan all along was for Cousins to have a stellar postseason run so he could cash in on a nice deal from another team. With this new injury, the Warriors could look to bring Cousins back for cheap.
