The Golden State Warriors will welcome back Draymond Green from his five-game suspension on Tuesday after he was reprimanded for putting Rudy Gobert in a chokehold. While one would think Green would regret his actions, it's actually the complete opposite.

Speaking on Sunday about the incident, Draymond essentially said he'd do it again if it meant he had to stand up for a teammate.

Via ESPN:

“I don't live my life with regrets,” Green said. “I'll come to a teammate's defense any time that I'm in a position to come to a teammate's defense. … What matters to me is how the people that I care about feel, first and foremost. How are the people that I care about affected? How are the people I care about, what do they have to deal with? That's it for me.”

Interesting outlook from Draymond Green. Head coach Steve Kerr said after the melee that Dray's actions were “inexcusable” and essentially voiced that he believes the suspension was warranted.

On November 14th against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels got tied up and Gobert ultimately ran in to grab Klay. Green then sprinted over and put the Wolves big man in a headlock.

There's a history between Draymond and Gobert but the Dubs veteran refused to say if that played a part in the chokehold:

“Things can be interpreted how people want to interpret them,” Draymond Green said. “I'm not here to judge people's interpretations or try to change them. They are what they are. I know that for me, I am always going to be there for my teammates. That's who I am. That's who I am as a teammate, that's who I am as a friend. … Right, wrong or indifferent, look to your side and I'll be there — or even in front of you.”

The Warriors face the Sacramento Kings in the In-Season Tournament on Tuesday. They're just 3-7 in their last 10 games and clearly need Green back.
