San Francisco, CA – Christmas day fills most people with excitement and joy. Kids want to open their gifts, and most adults look forward to visiting with family or friends. Some NBA players don't get that same thrill, and one of those players is Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green. He's had his fill of Christmas day games it appears.
Saturday, the Dubs are making their ninth straight Christmas day appearance. The teams expected to be a good team before the season starts usually play on this day. So that's a good thing for the Warriors. The problem Green has with this is getting scheduled to Play on the road for consecutive years.
“I want to spend some time at home with my kids too…If we're playing against the defending champion, you understand, but we're not…So now I miss my daughter's first Christmas, and I'll miss her second,” Warriors veteran Draymond Green told ClutchPoints.
Green has always been one of the most candid and open players in the league. When you ask him a question, and he feels strongly about it, he will let you know. His thoughts about playing on Christmas this year happened to be one of those times.

Draymond Green understands it's a part of the job. But playing on the road and being away from family on this special day is a challenging thing. If you're a player or reporter, it's not ideal. It's a sacrifice people who work for the NBA have to make, and sometimes you get the short end of the stick.
So a frustrated Green told everyone how he felt. He even threw a slight jab at the Suns by highlighting they aren't the NBA champions. You can expect an angry Green to perform at a high level in a game that should be a Christmas treat for all fans.
