The Golden State Warriors take on the Dallas Mavericks Saturday night and starting power forward Draymond Green will not play, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

The Warriors are saying that Draymond Green has a toe injury.

Are the Warriors sitting Draymond Green because of a toe injury, or does this have to do with his poor play against the Houston Rockets on Thursday and his argument with Kevin Durant? Who knows, but people on the outside will surely speculate.

Green has appeared in 13 games this season. The three-time All-Star is averaging 6.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7.2 assists while shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 22.2 percent from beyond the arc and 66.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The Warriors suspended Green for the game against the Atlanta Hawks. Green reportedly called Durant a bit** several times and challenged the nine-time All-Star about his impending free agency.

Green returned to the lineup Thursday versus the Rockets, but he was a complete non-factor. The Michigan native scored zero points, had five turnovers and was a -10 on the court.

The relationship between Draymond Green and Kevin Durant is going to be dissected like never before. Durant's free agency was already going to be a frequent talking point this season, but more so now.
