The Golden State Warriors will have forward Draymond Green back in the starting lineup against the Portland Trail Blazers, according to Mark Medina of the San Jose Mercury News.

The Warriors will be without Patrick McCaw, who stayed with the team instead of going down to G League affiliate Santa Cruz Warriors to get his head right after recent struggles. He suffered an injury to both of his wrists, which head coach Steve Kerr called “worrisome,” as he stayed home to get checked out by the medical staff, according to Connor LeTourneau of The San Francisco Chronicle.

Golden State has managed three straight wins after suffering three losses in four games in a week's stretch.

Kerr notably was hands-off when facing the Phoenix Suns, letting his players take complete control of the clipboard and coach themselves through a 46-point win, the biggest of this 2017-18 season.

This little diversion could have played wonders into shaking off a rut, in which the Warriors had grown tired of his voice, as Kerr said when explaining his reasoning for the somewhat off-the-wall tactic.

If they take down the Blazers tonight, the Warriors could go into the break with a solid four-game win streak, still holding the best record in the league, and have a week's worth of rest through a grueling 82-game season.

The Warriors won their previous encounter against Portland 111-104 and will see them once more after tonight's tilt on March 9 at the Moda Center.
