Warriors’ Draymond Green’s NSFW rant about Carmelo Anthony being out of NBA so long

Carmelo Anthony was out of the NBA for more than a year and Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green wasn’t happy about it.

Anthony, who signed with the Portland Trail Blazers in November, was teammates with Green on the 2016 Olympic basketball squad which won Gold, so they developed a close bond. The Warriors forward says it was “bull sh*t” that Anthony was out of a job for so long:

“I just think it’s the disrespect that goes around this league for a first-ballot Hall of Famer,” Green told Logan Murdock of NBC Sports Bay Area on Wednesday. “Even if you don’t think he can play, which obviously we all know he can, but even if you don’t think he can play, he’s a first-ballot Hall of Famer. If he wants to play basketball, then he should be able to play.

“It just gave people in a position of power the right to use it against him. People who have done less for the game making decisions on people who have done more. It’s bulls–t.”

Anthony and the Blazers take on Green and the Warriors on Wednesday. Melo is averaging 16.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13 games with Portland.

The Warriors are 5-23 on the season. They currently have the worst record in the NBA.
