The Golden State Warriors received some good news on Sunday after rookie forward Eric Paschall's knee MRI came back clean. Paschall practiced on Sunday and is questionable for tomorrow night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic:

Paschall injured his right knee during Friday's win over the New Orleans Pelicans when he collided with Pelicans guard J.J. Redick in the first quarter. The 23-year-old was eventually removed from the game in the second quarter, and he did not return.

However, it appears as though the injury is not serious, and Paschall could return to action in short order.

The former Villanova star has surprised many after being selected in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft. Paschall is averaging 15.4 points and 4.9 rebounds while providing a steady offensive presence for a Golden State squad struggling to score the ball without Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

Warriors veteran Draymond Green had nothing but good things to say about Paschall and his ability to step right in and contribute in the wake of all the injuries (via Nick Friedell of ESPN):

“He can really score the ball,” Green said of Paschall. “The pressure that he puts on the defense getting downhill, if he's out some time, is something that we'll miss. But hopefully it's nothing serious, but honestly it may be a blessing if he has to miss a week or two. Things came at him really fast; all of sudden he's playing 36, 37 minutes as a rookie, carrying the scoring load with eight guys, playing more games than he's ever played, quicker than the games have ever come on his schedule, in a league that he's never played in.

Golden State have not had it easy this season, but they can take solace in knowing that Paschall appears to be a diamond in the rough.

The Warriors will hope that their rookie forward can progress towards an active status on Monday.
