Since Steve Kerr took over the head coaching duties of the Golden State Warriors back in the 2014-15 season, they have become the most successful team in the NBA. They reached the Finals three straight years, winning two championships over that stretch. The Dubs have also won 207 regular season games, which goes to show how good they’ve been playing.

However, the defending champions are not having the same amount of success so far this regular season, and in fact, have already secured their worst record in the Steve Kerr era after losing their game on Sunday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to Reddit user lilmigosvert.

At 51-16, Golden State will clinch its worst record under the Steve Kerr era

In the Kerr era,

2014-15: 67-15

2015-16: 73-9

2016-17: 67-15

They have 16 losses now on the season. Amazing that on pace for 63 wins is the worst regular season record the Warriors will have since 2013-14.

While their current won-loss slate is still good for second place in the Western Conference, it still comes as a surprise that the Warriors have already lost that many games at this point of the season. If there’s any good news for them though, they have a veteran roster which understands what it takes to win it all. They also know that the number of wins in a regular season is not the sole basis of how successful a campaign is, and their fans will certainly not mind seeing them drop 16 games so far, as long as they’ll be able to defend the title they won last year.
