ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on the NBA Draft Lottery show that the Golden State Warriors will use the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 draft in trade talks this offseason.

The Warriors have long been rumored to be trading their pick either for another star or to move down. The Dubs expect to be playoff contenders next season after having the worst record in the league this campaign due to the departure of Kevin Durant, as well as injuries to their key players, particularly Klay Thompson, who is out for the season.

Stephen Curry, Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins will lead the team next season and GM Bob Myers can trade for a proven contributor or just draft a talented young player with the second pick.

Curry, Thompson, and Green will be motivated to get the Warriors back to the postseason after the team was awful in 2019-20. A lot of critics believe the dynasty is over since Durant is gone, so look for Steph, Klay, and Draymond to play inspired basketball next season.

Philadelphia 76ers All-Stars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons could be available for trade this offseason since the team appears it's going to get bounced in the first round of the 2020 playoffs and there have been rumors that GM Elton Brand will split up the two All-Stars.

The Warriors could trade the second pick in the 2020 draft, along with Wiggins, to the Sixers for Embiid or Simmons.

The Dubs may have had the worst record in the league this season after going to five straight Finals, but it appears the team is going to be elite again very soon.
