Moses Moody might not be playing with the Golden State Warriors right now, but boy is he showing some promise in the G-League. Playing for the Santa Cruz Warriors, the rookie put on a show, dropping 37 massive points against the Agua Caliente Clippers.

No one is happier for Moses Moody than his own coach, Steve Kerr. When asked about the Warriors rookie's explosion in the G-League, Kerr was ecstatic about Moody and fellow rook Jonathan Kuminga's stellar performance. (via Joe Viray)

“He's a great shooter and he's shown that in our practices… I'm thrilled that he and JK are playing, getting good reps in SC. There's a reason they were both lottery picks.”

Moody was drafted in the first round of the 2021 by the Warriors. As Stephen Curry and the team have their eyes set on a championship, the rookie has been relegated to the end of the bench, averaging only 5.8 minutes with the main team. It's in the best interests of both Moody and the Warriors for the rook to play in the G-League, as it allows him to develop his skills while playing in significantly less pressure.

Jordan Poole, another product of the Santa Cruz Warriors, was also happy for Moody. Although, the sweet-shooting guard does have something he's jealous about Moody's performance…

“It's huge just being able to play a game. I'm just proud he took 28 shots. I never took 28 shots.”

With Kuminga and Poole looking like absolute studs in the G-League, the Warriors' future looks bright. Fans should be happy that the Warriors will still have top-tier talent even after Stephen Curry retires from basketball.
