San Francisco, CA – Game 2 was just like the first of the series. The Golden State Warriors controlled things for most of the night yet again. The lineup of Stephen Curry, Jordan Poole, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Draymond Green instantly took over the game in the second quarter. They were led by Curry’s 34 points, Poole’s 29, and Thompson’s 21.

Steve Kerr and his staff knew this lineup would be very effective in games, but it’s one thing about this group he didn't expect to happen.

“I never envisioned Jordan playing this well at the beginning of this season, even though he had a great season a year ago,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told ClutchPoints. “I couldn't envision this. But he's earned it. This guy puts the work in every single day in the gym and believes in himself, and he's got a lot of skill.”

So far in the series, Jordan Poole is averaging 29.5 points per game on over 50 percent shooting from the field. His raised level of play has been a big reason the Warriors have blown out the Nuggets each game of the postseason.

The Warriors have the Nuggets frustrated and confused on the court. At one point during a timeout, Nikola Jokic went after Gary Payton II to confront him for tapping him on the rear. he was stopped by Curry and then went to the bench after some words. Then later in the game, after a great defensive stop, the center charged the official and was thrown out of the game.

The Warriors beat the Nuggets in Game 2 126-106, and the surprise star has been the third-year guard Poole.
