San Francisco, CA – The Golden State Warriors have five players participating in this year's All-Star Weekend. Three players will be in the All-Star Game, one in the Rising Stars Challenge, and Juan Toscano-Anderson will be in the Slam Dunk Contest. Monday morning the Oakland native talked about how honored he is to have the chance to be a part of the festivities and how special it would be to win it all.

“I really want to win a championship this year,” Toscano-Anderson told ClutchPoints. “That's the ultimate goal, but to win a slam dunk contest and add that to my resume of life, and things that I've accomplished. I'll be extremely happy.”

This season Toscano-Anderson has had some monster jams for the Warriors. His most notable dunk is the poster he created against the Phoenix Suns. That's when he dunked on center JaVale McGee and that might have been the slam that got him an invite to the contest.

The 28-year-old was surprised when he found out he received an invite. He found out from his agent and he thought it was a joke at first. Once he realized it was true, it was no way he was turning down the opportunity.

The favorite to win this competition is the athletic rookie Jalen Green of the Houston Rockets. The Warriors reserve is the underdog in the event, and he's fine with that. It doesn't mean he can't win it.

Toscano-Anderson has beaten the odds his entire life, and he doesn't plan on stopping on All-Star Weekend.
