The Boston Celtics silenced the Oracle Arena crowd after they blew out the defending champion Golden State Warriors on their home floor, 128-95. Following the game, Warriors coach Steve Kerr blasted his squad, calling their efforts “embarrassing” and cited that his team didn't play with enough intensity and anger throughout the contest.

Kerr's “anger” comments didn't sit well with superstar forward Kevin Durant, who thought that his coach told them beforehand that they should always play with joy, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic:

With his impending free agency looming this summer, people may view this as Durant trying to mess up the Warriors' chemistry or something to that extent. But there probably isn't anything to read about his contradiction of his coach's words.

Nonetheless, KD has a point here. Kerr has been on record saying that the Warriors play best when they enjoy themselves on the court. And for the most part, with their brand of basketball, it seems like Durant and company have fun playing off each other.

However, that certainly didn't look like it on Tuesday. The Warriors came out flat, as the Celtics raced to an 11-0 lead to open the game.

You'd think the defending champs would eventually have a run in them at some point, but that never came. They fell into a 73-48 hole at the half, and ultimately lost by 33.

The Celtics had been an abomination over the past few weeks, as the team struggled mightily with chemistry issues. But they looked like a completely different squad on Tuesday.

The Warriors, on the other hand, suffered another embarrassing loss in front of their home crowd. Golden State has been up and down this season. Regardless, they are still heavy favorites to lift the Larry O'Brien Trophy in June. But they'll have to iron out their issues quickly and go back to playing with more joy if they want to capture that coveted three-peat.
