Relatively speaking, the Golden State Warriors’ backs are against the wall right now. Although their series with the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference finals is tied with two wins apiece, never before since Kevin Durant arrived in Oakland that the Warriors had lost twice in a playoffs series. That remained true until Tuesday when the defending champions absorbed a 95-92 loss at the hands of Houston at home.

Asked how the Warriors are going to handle such a shocking loss to Houston, Kevin Durant said that his team is just fine after watching the film, and that they are “ready for the next one”, per Mark Medina of The Mercury News.

In Game 4, Durant supplied the Warriors with ample scoring production with 27 points on 9-for-27 shooting. However, Durant and his teammates were not able to sustain their offense in the fourth period, where they went just 3-for-18 from the field and got outscored by the Rockets, 25-12. Durant himself was just 1-for-5 for a mere six points in the frame.

Despite the loss and an unusual predicament, the Warriors have no reason to panic. They travel to Houston having won seven of their last 10 trips there dating back to 2015 and has also beaten the Rockets six out of the last 10 meetings between the two teams.

Durant will enter Game 5 with a playoffs average of 29.1 points and a 49.2 field goal shooting percentage.
