Kevin Durant has already been in the NBA for nearly 12 years now, and in that span, tons of players have come into the league modeling their game after him. For him, that’s a weird place to be.

Speaking to the media prior to their game tonight against the Boston Celtics, Kevin Durant was asked by Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe about younger players modeling their games after him.

According to Durant, it’s “cool” to see, but also is a bit weird.

Of course, when Durant was coming into the league, players like Tracy McGrady and Kobe Bryant were the superstars to model your game after, so it must be somewhat flattering for Durant to see so many players trying to be like him.

Still, it’s hard to exactly model yourself after a player of Durant’s caliber, however, as his lanky build and freakish ability to seemingly do everything on the court cannot be matched by many.

As the Warriors get ready to face the Boston Celtics in what could be an NBA Finals preview, Golden State seems to finally be clicking after an inconsistent start to the season.

They currently sit at the top of the Western Conference with a 34-14 record, and have won nine of their last 10 games.
