The Golden State Warriors have ailed plenty during the last couple of weeks, missing every one of their All-Stars on the floor with injuries of their own. Among them, shooting guard Klay Thompson, who's missed the last seven games with a fracture on his right thumb.

With recent news of a Kevin Durant return for Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks, the 6-foot-7 marksman could be the next cog to return to the starting lineup after a lengthy absence.

“I'll be back soon. One or two more games,” said Thompson, according to Janie McCauley of The Associated Press.

This timeline would put Thompson in line to return anytime between Saturday's game against the Sacramento Kings — at Golden1 Arena that has seen people rallying in front of the building for two straight games in relation to the horrific shooting of Stephon Clark — or during Sunday's home game against the Phoenix Suns.

The All-Star sharpshooter praised the effort this Warriors team has put in, despite racking up six losses in their last nine games, as a result of their lost firepower.

“Their defense was great tonight, just their effort. They play with great effort, and that's all we ask for.”

The Warriors will finish the season short-handed no matter what, with Stephen Curry out into the first week of the playoffs, where he will be re-evaluated; but the rest of the moving pieces will have to once again be assembled into place in hopes to prepare for the first round of the postseason.
