Collin Morikawa is obviously not happy over the fact that he failed to make the top 10 of the PGA Tour's Player Impact Program. He almost made it but fell one place short, as he was instead left settling for the No. 11 spot. In other words, he's not going to earn at least $3 million, which is the lowest amount given to the top-10 finishers. Now, Morikawa looks to channel his resentment by going full Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson on the golf course.

The PGA TOUR uses a set of metrics to determine who should be included on the Player Impact Program's list of 10 players. The idea of the PIP is to reward the players the PGA TOUR has determined to have made the most impact on the sport.

Morikawa definitely feels he belongs in the top 10 after a successful 2020-21 season in which he won two events, finished inside the top 10 eight times, and cracked 11 top 25s in 23 starts. Among his wins was the 2021 The Open Championship. Surely, Morikawa knows how to make a splash just like the Warriors star. In fact, he's already started his salty campaign by changing his Twitter bio, via Dan Rapaport of the Golf Digest.

Morikawa is still just 24 years old. He's got plenty of time ahead of him to finish inside the top 10 of the PIP. But for now, his focus will be on winning the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Maui, which kicks off this Thursday.
