Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson isn't rattled that his team is down by one game in the best-of-seven NBA Finals series against the Toronto Raptors.

In an interview with the Associated Press' Brian Mahoney, Thompson said the Warriors will need to make the necessary adjustments in Game 2, especially on transition defense. He added that several factors affected their play, including almost two weeks of rest, although he's not using that as an excuse.

“They were getting the ball off the rim and just pushing it. Instead of crashing as hard as we did, we’ll have to make the adjustment in Game 2 and try to send more guys back. But 10 days off as well, we might have had a little cobwebs. It was just a mixture of things. But I know this: I know we’ll be better tomorrow.”

The Warriors are in unfamiliar territory, as this is the first time in franchise history that they've lost Game 1 of an NBA Finals series. However, the Dubs are known to bounce back strong after a defeat, which they will attempt to do in Game 2 come Sunday night.

A lot of people are already counting Golden State out of the series, especially because of how well the Raptors have been playing as of late. But Klay isn't worried. He's reminding the doubters that this is a seven-game affair.

“It’s first to four, not first to one. So, still a lot of basketball to be played.”
