San Francisco, CA – We are one game away from seeing Draymond Green reunited with the Golden State Warriors. On Monday he's making his return against the Washington Wizards. It's going to be a special night, and there might not be a single person more excited about that game than Klay Thompson.

“Well, Draymond is like,” Thompson pauses. “I can't wait for him to get back because essentially he can run the point guard on our offense, sets great screens and he just makes the right read 90% of the time. Then you combine all that with his fire to compete, he's one-of-one.”

Green and Thompson haven't played a game together since the 2019 NBA Finals. Monday, that will all end. The player who has assisted Thompson the most will be back dropping dimes to him shortly.

Monday, the warriors will be one step closer to being fully healthy. James Wiseman is playing in the G-League until he's ready, and Andre Iguodala and Gary Payton II should be coming back to the lineup soon.

This season Green is averaging 7.9 points, 7.6, rebounds, and 7.4 assists. Before the injury, he was playing at a high level. His improved play earned him a spot in this year's NBA All-Star game.

Green will be joining the team while they are on a positive run. The Warriors won their last three games, and hope to extend their streak to four when Green returns.

Next, the Warriors will face the Wizards at home inside the Chase Center. They are tied with Memphis with the second-best record in the conference.
