The NBA announced on Thursday that they have postponed Friday's game between the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks due to the tragic passing of Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic.

At this time, the league has not said when this game between Golden State and Dallas will be rescheduled for. The Warriors were supposed to play on the road against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night, but this game was also postponed due to the circumstances surrounding Milojevic and the team grieving.

Milojevic suffered a heart attack in Utah on Tuesday night during a private team dinner. After being rushed to the hospital and receiving life-saving efforts from medical personnel, the Warriors assistant passed away late Wednesday morning.

“We are absolutely devastated by Dejan's sudden passing,” head coach Steve Kerr said, per Warriors PR. “This is a shocking and tragic blow for everyone associated with the Warriors and an incredibly difficult time for his family, friends, and all of us who had the incredible pleasure to work with him.”

Various players around the league, including Jusuf Nurkic, Lauri Markkanen, and Luka Doncic, have offered their thoughts and prayers to Milojevic's family and the Warriors organization as a whole.

Bob Myers, who recently stepped down from his role as President of Basketball Operations with the Warriors this past offseason, spoke about Milojevic's passing during ESPN's NBA Countdown on Wednesday night and paid tribute to him.

“It hurts… It's just hard because when you work with these people… people say it but you see them more than your family. You do and you develop a closeness. It's just hard because he was this bigger than life person,” Myers said. “He would light up a room. It's such a loss because he's gone. I just feel so bad for his children and his wife and the people that work with him because they know him and knew him. He left a huge mark on everybody that he crossed paths with, including me. I'm lucky I knew him for the time I did.”

After having their games on Wednesday and Friday night postponed, the Warriors are not scheduled to play again until Wednesday night in San Francisco against the Atlanta Hawks.
