This season has been a weird one for guard Patrick McCaw. A former NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors, the 23-year has signed with the Toronto Raptors, his third team this season, after being waived by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

McCaw's season began with his fallout with the Warriors. He was offered a two-year $5.2 million by the Dubs in October, which he rejected because he felt like he deserved more money. So he waited for a more lucrative offer.

In December, he decided to sign with the Cavs on a two-year non-guaranteed $6 million deal. But after a few games, he was waived because the team wasn't impressed with him.

Now, Patrick McCaw is with the Raptors, but the details of his new deal were not released to the public.

When asked by Raptors beat writer Josh Lewenberg, McCaw explained his decision to leave the Warriors.

“It was just a personal decision for me to move on. I loved my time there… There was no better situation for me to learn and grow. There's no bad blood. Nothing but love for Golden State and what they did for me.”

In two seasons with the Warriors, McCaw has played a total of 128 games, averaging four points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. He's had a late surge in the second half of last season, becoming a reliable backup to the Warriors' Steph Curry. He's won two titles with the ballclub.

Now, that chapter has closed for Patrick McCaw, and the newest member of the Raptors is looking forward to ending this season on a positive note.
