Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has risen to the top of the league thanks to his silky smooth ball-handling skills and deadly three-point shooting. However, as Matthew Dellavedova found out Thursday, he's also more than willing to lower his shoulder and drop whoever might be standing in his way.

With the Warriors looking to withstand a late third-quarter push by the beleaguered Cleveland Cavaliers squad, Curry pushed the tempo following a midrange bucket by Taurean Prince. Hoping to preempt a potential drive from the Warriors point guard, Dellavedova met Curry just behind the arc, looking to use his upper-body strength to push the former-MVP off course and deny him an angle towards the interior. Unfortunately for Delly, Steph is a lot stronger than he looks.

Not only did Curry get the better of their collision in the midrange–sending the Cavs guard flying towards the baseline–but Steph promptly recovered and reversed course back out towards the arc, firing a dagger three-point shot that extended the Warriors lead back to double-digits.

Not only did the sequence help pace the Warriors to a victory over Cleveland Thursday night, but it was yet another example of the type of heroics Steph has displayed as of late. Over the past eight contests entering their game against the Cavaliers, Curry has averaged over 38 points per game, on 55% shooting from the field, and 49% from three, a staggering performance that has catapulted him back into MVP consideration.

As Dellavedova can tell you, Steph continues to find new ways to embarrass opponents.
