Stephen Curry is speaking out about an issue that is near and dear to his heart. It's something that the Golden State Warriors' star has a new perspective on. With two daughters, Curry is now championing women's quality.

Curry penned a piece on The Players' Tribune Sunday, which is Women's Equality Day, in which he spoke about women's equality. Curry writes:

“I want our girls to grow up knowing that there are no boundaries that can be placed on their futures, period. I want them to grow up in a world where their gender does not feel like a rulebook for what they should think, or be, or do. And I want them to grow up believing that they can dream big, and strive for careers where they’ll be treated fairly.

And of course: paid equally.”

This is a positive step forward in the discussion surrounding women's empowerment. Curry's daughters, Riley and Ryan, have clearly changed his perspective for the better. Riley and Ryan were Steph and Ayesha Curry's first and second-born. But most recently, the Currys welcomed their first son, Canon — not a bad name if he can develop into a 3-point threat like his father.

Steph is open about his quest to raise his children in the changing world. In regards to raising a son, Steph writes:

“I think you tell him the same thing that we told those girls last week at our camp: Be yourself. Be good, and try to be great — but always be yourself.”

Stephen Curry's frankness and honesty can go a long way towards advancing the conversation about women's empowerment.
