Stephen Curry was denied on a three-point attempt in Philadelphia not once, but twice. The Golden State Warriors guard was stifled all evening thanks to a 76ers pest known as Matisse Thybulle.

Thybulle is the first player in NBA history to block two of Stephen Curry's three-pointers in the same contest. He also limited the Warriors star to just 2-for-13 shooting from the field and 1-for-9 from three-point range when matched up against each other.

Steve Kerr had nothing but praise for Matisse Thybulle after the game, admitting that his defensive performance one Stephen Curry was one of the best he's seen in a while.

Via Anthony Slater of The Athletic:

“They just kept Thybulle on him the whole game and he harassed him really well,” said the Warriors coach. We just couldn't make them pay enough for paying so much attention to Steph.”

Thybulle had just six points, two rebounds, and one assist on the box score. But his defensive impact was just so loud while watching the game you could hardly tell he wasn't piling on the numerical stats.

“Again, I give Thybulle credit. I thought he was fantastic defensively. He's rare combination of length and athleticism, and brains. He did as good a job on Steph as anyone I’ve seen in a long time.”

Stephen Curry's chase for Ray Allen's three-point record marches on. Thankfully, the Warriors won't have to play Matisse Thybulle and the Sixers anytime soon.
